on October 22, the world smart car conference with the theme of jointly building ecology, smart leading the future and opening a new era of cars opened in Beijing. Xuzhijun, chairman in office of Huawei, delivered a keynote speech on focusing on ICT technology, enabling car enterprises to build good cars and make good cars at the conference

good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen

it is my great honor to attend the world smart car conference. I would like to take this opportunity to share how Huawei focuses on IC. Our spring testing machine is a t-technology that detects displacement in strict accordance with Japanese standards, enabling car companies to make good cars

as I said at the Shanghai auto show on April 17, with the deep integration of automobile and information and communication technology, intelligent electric vehicle has become a new revolutionary development engine of human society, and its impact far exceeds the two industries themselves. Smart cars will bring great changes to human society, the automobile industry and people's travel, mainly reflected in five points:

first, smart cars will become a platform for continuous value creation. After the traditional trend towards intelligence, intelligence has become a platform for the entire industry to continuously create value. We are glad to see that once the car moves from a traditional car to a smart car, it will also become a platform for the industry to continuously create value and consumers to continuously improve their experience throughout the life cycle of the car

second, in the future, the whole society should combine car ownership with travel services

third, people with cars know that what we hate most is that the entertainment system in the car has not changed for decades. I think the intelligent cockpit and other systems in the automotive field should be organically integrated with the industrial chain and ecology of our booming intelligent terminals. That is to bring our experience to the car and bring our hardware ecology and application ecology into the intelligent cockpit

fourth, the traditional automobile is based on e/e architecture, that is, the architecture of bus + decentralized control. We believe that to move towards intelligent United Automobile, it should be a distributed network + domain controller architecture

fifth, after being connected, the car is no longer an isolated mechanical object, but a kind of network terminal. Naturally, it faces the problems of network security and information security. Therefore, the concept of vehicle safety should move from traditional safety to credibility

Huawei has noticed the integration trend of ICT industry and automobile. In the past four to five years, Huawei has been exploring how to give full play to our technology accumulation advantages in ICT industry, so as to promote the traditional automobile industry to move towards intelligent United Automobile. After several years of exploration, we have made clear our strategic choice: Huawei does not build cars, but focuses on I, that is, the two composite friction CT technologies that exist simultaneously in the two motion modes of rotation and sliding, to become an incremental component supplier for smart cars, helping car companies build and build good cars

in order to implement this strategy, on May 29, Huawei officially established the intelligent vehicle solution Bu to implement the strategy for smart cars. At the same time, we have further planned the solution for the smart car, including five aspects: first, the most traditional smart car, how to connect the car with the cloud, the car with the car, the car with the thing, and the car with the surrounding. The second is intelligent driving. The third is the intelligent cockpit. The fourth is intelligent electric. Fifth, we provide a series of cloud services to help car companies develop and innovate and support travel services. It is mainly to help car companies build good cars in these five directions

first of all, the architecture must be changed from traditional cars to smart cars. The traditional e/e architecture is a bus plus decentralized control architecture. There are hundreds of controllers in a car. However, to move towards the smart car, we should fully integrate the achievements and accumulation of ICT technology over the decades, and make the car into a distributed Ethernet + three domain controllers architecture to realize the software defined car and continuously improve the experience for consumers. In this way, in the life cycle of the automobile, continuous value creation can be realized through software upgrading or hardware replacement. It is clear to all that, following Moore's law, the technology of the electronic industry is progressing rapidly, and the cost is also reducing rapidly

here I share Huawei's practices in several specific directions:

first, we want to build an MDC intelligent driving platform. Through this platform, a wide range of ecology will be established, and finally the whole automobile industry will be promoted to be intelligent through open cooperation. Our greatest advantage is the ability of AI and cloud. We have built an MDC intelligent driving platform based on Huawei's shengteng chip, plus intelligent driving operating system and automatic driving cloud service. Through the re opening of the API on the intelligent driving platform, we will work with a large number of component suppliers, integrators, application developers and other partners to create three ecosystems:

the first is the sensor ecology, including laser radar, millimeter wave radar, cameras and so on, so that these sensors can be connected with MDC. As one of the options, Huawei will also use its 5g technology to develop millimeter wave radar to achieve all-weather imaging. At the same time, we will also make full use of the world's leading optoelectronic technology to develop lidar to truly solve the cost and performance problems faced by lidar

the second is intelligent driving application ecology. We hope to create an algorithm and application ecology based on MDC. We hope that our partners will develop intelligent driving applications and algorithms based on MDC, and support the automotive industry to continuously provide intelligent driving innovative functions and services

thirdly, we connect MDC1 with all kinds of executive components by bringing Sinopec Maozhan base into the national petrochemical industry base plan. We have built the interface standard to make it easy for MDC to cooperate with all executive components. In addition, we are also faced with a series of laws, regulations, policies, standards and other issues and challenges. Therefore, we hope to establish a wide range of ecological alliances to promote the establishment of standards and build consensus, so as to promote the automation of the entire automobile industry and truly realize full automatic driving

the second direction is to build an intelligent cockpit platform. Our core idea is to combine the intelligent cockpit platform with the whole intelligent terminal ecology. We have a large number of intelligent users in China and around the world. The entire industry has established a wide range of intelligent terminal ecology, truly realizing large-scale and low-cost. The intelligent cockpit is on the vehicle. We believe that the hardware ecology, software ecology and application ecology of the intelligent terminal should be introduced into the intelligent cockpit. Huawei will build an intelligent cockpit platform based on Intelligent Kirin chip and Hongmeng operating system. It is hoped that based on such a platform, the ecology of the intelligent cockpit will be finally built. It is hoped that the hardware of the intelligent cockpit in the future can also be replaced, the application can be constantly updated, and the software can also be continuously upgraded

in the third direction, we should build an intelligent electric platform to make car companies form a differentiated experience in electric. We have developed a MCU and built a complete vehicle control operating system based on MCU. Based on this operating system, it is open to all automobile development enterprises to continuously improve the user's differentiated experience. Based on the VDC platform, all vehicle enterprises can better perform differentiated vehicle control

at the same time, Huawei has a scale of 5billion dollars in the energy industry. We make full use of the scale and device consistency of the energy industry to reduce the cost of electrification and solve the cost and performance problems of charging, electric drive and battery management

finally, connection. We hope to connect cars with roads and cars with 4G, 5g and v2x technologies. At the same time, through cloud services, we can effectively manage all connected cars, so as to build an ecosystem that connects all cars

we hope that the ICT technology accumulated over the years will be oriented to the smart car industry, and around the smart cockpit, smart driving, smart car, smart electric and related cloud services, we can really help car companies quickly build smart cars, become a real incremental component supplier for smart car companies, and help our partners build good cars
